A 3-week intensive from the University of Michigan Center for Innovation in Detroit.
Program Description: The UMCI Detroit Leadership Lab is a hands-on, 3-week program designed to build practical leadership skills for real-world application. Meeting over three Saturdays, participants will learn how to navigate bad leadership, strengthen emotional intelligence skills, and practice leading without authority. Interactive sessions will guide learners in navigating conflicts, making decisions in uncertainty, and applying creative problem-solving in a rapidly changing world. The influence of AI will be considered, and effective strategies for using AI as a leader will be shared. Participants will leave with a personalized leadership action plan and concrete tools they can immediately apply in their workplaces, businesses, and communities. This program is designed to move beyond theory, equipping leaders with clarity, confidence, and capability to create meaningful impact.
